While the official attire for the Malaysian contingent at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris has drawn flak, netizens are tickled by hypermarket Mydin's witty post about representing the country

The Malaysian halal retail chain took to its social media pages to share a post yesterday, 25 June, where its staff are dressed in yellow and deep blue uniforms, standing in rows inside one of its outlets.

The post is simply captioned, "We are ready to represent Malaysia!", in Bahasa Melayu.

At first glance, Mydin's staff uniforms resemble the new Malaysian team's official attire that was unveiled during an Olympic Day celebration at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend

Mydin's uniform, especially for its female staff, features a similar pattern as seen on the official gold-themed attire for the Malaysian contingent, with the body part in deep blue colour and sleeves in yellow.

Amused netizens showered praise on the retail chain's witty response

Many said that Mydin is actually in touch with the people, stating that its post was funny.
