Puma has announced plans to end its sponsorship with Israel's national football team by 2024

According to Al Jazeera, the plans are unrelated to the ongoing consumer boycotts against the company due to the Gaza conflict.

The German sportswear brand clarified that the decision was part of its "fewer-bigger-better strategy" and not influenced by the war or boycotts.

Contracts with multiple federations, including Serbia and Israel, are set to expire and won't be renewed

Puma will soon reveal agreements with new national teams.

The decision was confirmed through an internal memo seen by the Financial Times, affirming a review of existing partnerships and upcoming opportunities.

Puma initially signed with the Israel Football Association in 2018 but faced criticism for including teams from Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank

The settlement is viewed as illegal under international law.

Puma is among the many global firms supportive of Israel that have faced growing boycott calls by the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divest, Sanctions (BDS) movement before and during the Gaza war.
