According to Malaysia Automotive, Robotics, and IoT Institute (MARii), the Malaysian EV market is set to experience booming growth
Malaysia, a key player in the Southeast Asian automotive market, is experiencing swift progress in the electric vehicle sector, according to MARii CEO Azrul Reza Aziz. The market share of electric vehicles in Malaysia is expected to substantially increase.
The national goal is for electric vehicles to make up 15% of the total industry volume (TIV) by 2030.
This explains the early arrival of the Omoda E5, as the brand initially said it would only bring the new model to Malaysia sometime in 2024.
