Nothing is back with an all new phone that shines brighter and more stylishly than ever

In an exclusive reveal by tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee, better known as MKBHD, we got an official first look at the Nothing Phone (2), the next flagship device from the smartphone brand that took the world by storm when it first released last year.

When placed together side by side, it can be seen that there isn't much difference between the Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2) visually, aside from some subtle tweaks.

For starters, the Nothing Phone (2) packs a small red LED light at the top right of the phone and a slightly lighter grey colour.

As for the glyph interface, the light strips around the Nothing Phone (2)'s camera are now split into two, while the rounded light strips in the middle are split into six pieces. Additionally, while the previous Nothing Phone (1) only had a total of 12 controllable light zones around the phone, the Nothing Phone (2) will have a total of 33.

What this means is, we can expect the glyph interface to sport more precise and detailed features working in tandem with Nothing's software.

There's also a new Essential Notifications feature that lets you see incoming alerts by just looking at the blinking light strips at the back of the phone

You can do this by manually setting how a glyph reacts to notifications that you will receive, so you can be alerted of something just by looking at the light strips, as reported by TechNave

More details about the phone will be revealed on its official reveal livestream at nothing.tech on 12 July.
