"PADU Registration Is Free" — Govt Warns Malaysians Against Hiring Illicit Agents
You will not only waste your money, but your personal data will also be jeopardised.
The Economy Ministry has warned Malaysians against paying illicit agents to register for the Central Database Hub (PADU)
In a Facebook post today, the ministry reiterated that registering on PADU is free of charge.
"Registration and updating of PADU is free. No charges apply," the post read.
Many illicit agents have been advertising their services under the pretext of helping Malaysians register for PADU
However, the ministry said acquiring their services is dangerous.
"If parties are offering paid services to register for PADU, please be careful. In addition to wasting your money, your personal data is also in their hands," the post explained.
If you require help with registration, you can contact your state's Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM)
Should you prefer to register in person over the counter, you can contact your state's respective DOSM office.
Here's a list of DOSM offices nationwide along with their contact details.
Registration for PADU ends on 31 March this year. You can sign up for free here here
