Upcoming Events Can Soon Be Pinned In WhatsApp Community Groups
The feature is currently available on WhatsApp beta for Android.
WhatsApp is testing a feature that allows users to pin upcoming events in community groups
Last month, WhatsApp allowed users to pin messages in groups and private chats.
Soon, community members can create and pin reminders for specific events by selecting the option within the community info screen.

Currently, only group admins of WhatsApp community groups are allowed to manually pinning messages about events
However, after the new feature is rolled out to all users, events organised through WhatsApp Communities will be automatically displayed on the community info screen.
The pinned events section ensures easy access and visibility for scheduled calls or simple reminders.
Members no longer need to scroll up to find event details
For now, this new update is only available for Android users and can be found in version 2.23.21.12 on the Google Play Store. WhatsApp will announce when it will be made available to all users.
