X, formerly known as Twitter, stopped refreshing for its users for a brief period today, 21 December

While the social media platform was still accessible on both web and mobile versions, tweets were not visible on users' timelines.

A message saying 'Welcome to X!' appeared on users' timelines instead.

According to DownDetector.com, the website was down for about an hour, with users starting to report issues from 2pm.

As of writing, the website is back up, but users are still unable to view tweet analytics.
