CelcomDigi has announced a new partnership with Yinson GreenTech that allows you to temporarily lease an e-bike by rydeEV

The process is almost similar to leasing a smartphone with a postpaid plan.

Users must commit to payments on a monthly basis throughout the contract duration before owning the e-bike.

You need to sign up for Postpaid 5G plans and the Easy360 instalment option to lease an e-bike

You can opt for the entry-level model, the RYDER Electric Bike, at RM299 per month or the HYPER model at RM430 per month for 36 months.

CelcomDigi also outlined the existing benefits of its Easy360 instalment plan, which include:

1. RM0 upfront cost
2. 0% interest
3. RM10 postpaid plan rebates for 36 months
4. New EV-related perks like unlimited battery swaps at appointed battery stations within Klang Valley, road tax and insurance coverage, as well as e-bike maintenance (except tyres).

You have the option to fully own the e-bike for just RM1 after completing the 36-month contract

While there's 0% interest, the e-bikes are priced differently compared to their retail price. For example, you'll have to pay RM2,765 extra for the RYDER Electric Bike. For the HYPER Electric Bike, you'll have to fork out an extra RM5,481.

That said, it's still a pretty good deal for those looking to get an e-bike based on their current affordability levels.

Users can also make use of the (MARiiCas) incentive to get a RM2,400 rebate on their e-bike purchase

To check your eligibility for the government's Electric Motorcycle Use Promotion Scheme (MARiiCas), you can visit the programme's official page by clicking this link.

This rebate comes in the form of a RM200 monthly return over 12 months.
