A Movie About Tun M’s Perjuangan To Becoming PM Again Is Releasing Next Year
The life story of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, after stepping down as the fourth prime minister to his reappointment as the seventh, will be made into a movie
The movie will also feature some untold events of Dr Mahathir's perjuangan (struggles) to get re-elected as the seventh Prime Minister
Directed by Dr Hatta Azad Khan, who is known for directing 'Wayang' and 'Kembar Siang', the movie will be made on a RM6 million budget, reported Berita Harian.

"(The movie) is inspired by true stories. Some parts will unfold the events following Tun's resignation in 2003. Some parts will unfold events that were never known to the general public.
"The movie script has received 100% approval from the Prime Minister's Office. In fact, Tun's special agent, Sufi Yusof, went through the dialogue and the scenes to ensure that no facts were wrong."
29 prominent Malaysian figures will be cast in the movie
Other than Dr Mahathir and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah’s characters, the movie will also feature:
- Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir,
- Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir,
