Geeky Things You Should Know About The Characters From Guardians Of The Galaxy

You know Iron Man, you know all about Captain America, but you don't really know who the Guardians of the Galaxy are. We're here to help.

  • Who exactly are the Guardians of the Galaxy? Where are they from? Do they have superpowers?

  • The Guardians of the Galaxy is a bunch of ragtag misfits from different worlds who are forced to group together to save the galaxy

    • In the aftermath of the Phalanx invasion of the Kree, Star-Lord decides to form a team of interstellar heroes that will be proactive in protecting the galaxy, rather than reacting to crises as they happen. To this end, he recruits Adam Warlock, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Phyla-Vell (the new Quasar), Rocket Raccoon, and Groot, with Mantis as support staff.
  • The movie takes place in a place called Xandar, right in the Andromeda Galaxy which is far off from where humans are based

  • Peter Quill a.k.a Starlord is actually half-human and half-alien and steals something important. Could it be one of the artefacts from the Marvel universe?

  • Gamora is the last of her kind, and was trained as an assassin now fighting on the good side to redeem herself. Did you know she's was once trained by Thanos, a mega villain?

  • Don't underestimate Groot, the "walking tree". He's the strongest amongst the team and is also a genius although the only vocabulary he knows is just "I am Groot".

  • Drax the Destroyer was once a human being before an alien race wiped out his family. His spirit was then transferred to an alien and now looking for revenge. Scary.

  • Looks can be deceiving. Although Rocket Raccoon is the smallest of the lot, he carries the biggest arsenal around. He also has this bromance going on with Groot

  • Many characters from previous Marvel movies are making appearances in this movie such as Thanos from Avengers and the Collector from Thor
