As the legendary Charlie Chaplin puts it, "A day without laughter is a day wasted."

3 JULY: What better way to let off steam after a stressful week with some laugh-out-loud comics? LOL Fest 2015 is set to send you into fits of giggles with an eclectic mix of comedy shows from all over the world!
The comedy festival will be held at various venues in Publika, Solaris Dutamas from 27 July to 2 August. LOL Fest 2015 will also be playing host to 35 local and international comedy performers, all of whom will be performing between 30 July to 2 August.
Laugh your hearts out with a variety specially produed and curated comedy shows, including Japanese comedy and comedy magic in addition to the usual improv and stand-up comics. And don't worry about age limits, there's a comedy show for everyone regardless of age!
Shows also vary for different age groups with dual show ratings of ‘13+’ and ‘18+’. There will also be kids-friendly comedy shows on Saturday afternoon at The Square, Publika where proceeds go to a charitable cause.
lolfest.myKicking off the festival is a week-long exhibition 'Laughter Makes The World Go Round', which will begin on 27 July at The Boulevard of Publika. Expect to see a selection of photographs and illustrations that will bring at least a smile to your face.
This exhibition explores the many different aspects of laughter as perceived through the eyes of various artists from different disciplines and background. It is an exploration of humour and laughter, and what makes it so uniquely human. The exhibition will include photographs, cartoons, doodles, paintings, illustrations and digital images from local and regional artists.
lolfest.myOne of the festival's biggest highlights has got to be a team of Japanese comedians from Yoshimoto Kogyo, one of the biggest entertainment groups in Japan, who will be performing 2 specially-designed shows - one in Japanese, and the other in English or non-verbal
Featured artists include Kamiyama Ichirou, a senior pantomime artist and Kumada Mashahi, a rhythm comedian akin to the ones you see in Japanese game shows. They will be supported by comedians from the Sumimasu Geinin Project.
lolfest.myMovie marathons are no match for LOL Fest's 'Laugh-a-thon', a 6-hour special with more than a dozen performances from local and international comedy talent. That's 6 hours of non-stop laughter!
Here’s how it works: Once a ticket-holder enters the show, they can stay for as long as they want with one catch; one ticket is only for one entry with no re-entries. One ticket, one entry and stay till you are all out of laughs. This show promises to take audiences on an entirely different spectrum of stand-up comedy experience.
lolfest.myAlso, don't miss out on the rest of the equally hilarious shows, especially Jarred Fell and Justin Rivera's brand of intriguing comedy magic!
A Charity Bash will also commence on 1 August at The Square, Publika with fun-filled programmes including a bazaar, performances, and a charity auction with all proceeds to be contributed to aid those in need.
Visitors can also drop by the Lemon Garden while at The Square to juggle lemons and participate in the 'Spin to Win' contest. Winners will be rewarded with Tiger Radler premiums. On top of that, all ticket holders to the shows at The Bee or Black Box will be given a can of ice cold Tiger Radler.
lolfest.myTickets for all the shows are available on Ticketpro ranging from RM40 to RM120. You can also get ahold of a Festival Pass (one-time entry for all shows) at RM200 per pop.
