After the announcement of new leadership appointments in June, Media Prima's radio platform, Media Prima Audio (MPA), recently announced a new business and content strategy.
As part of this, some of your favourite local radio stations will be going through a complete revamp!
The radio stations involved in this revamp are Fly FM, Hot FM, One FM, and Kool FM. Look forward to all kinds of changes for those four stations, including new announcer lineups, new logos, new content, and more!
1. Fly FM: Experience the all new Fly FM with exciting segments that will keep you entertained throughout the day and provide the 'Music YOU Want All Day'.
Popular Malaysian comedian Douglas Lim joins resident Fly FM announcer Ili to host Fly FM's breakfast show, Douglas Lim & Ili In The Morning, airing on weekdays from 6am to 10am. The duo will kickstart your morning with hilarious comedy, world-class storytelling, compelling content, and the all the music you know and love.
Following them is a morning segment hosted by Natalie K. Once a pioneer of Fly FM and with more than a decade of experience, she will be a breath of fresh air to the radio station. Catch her on week days from 10am to 4pm.
Ryan Matjeraie, who also has more than a decade of experience in TV and radio hosting, returns to Fly FM as the evening show host. Don't miss out and be entertained by him on Fly FM's evening segment, every week day from 4pm to 8pm.
And finally, expect a pleasant listening experience when you tune in to Fly FM's night announcer, Juanita, who will accompany you every week day from 8pm to midnight.
2. Hot FM: Get your daily dose of fun entertainment, gossip and lifestyle topics, and the hottest music of the week
With their 'Kini Lebih Muzik Yang Hangat' tagline, Hot FM will be the hub of entertainment and information through engaging content, humorous storytelling, and the hottest music.
Consisting of a mix of new and current announcers, the radio station's lineup will brighten your day with their amazing personalities and insanely good chemistry. Plus, the positive information they share will give you good vibes throughout the day.
Making a surprise comeback to the station is Fara Fauzana, who will be joining AG and Fad. The trio will be taking over the breakfast segment with their Rakyat Rangers show, airing on week days from 6am to 10am.
Zetty, who previously hosted the Mega Hot segment, will continue to make the day even better through her brand new segment, Playlist Hangat. Tune in for the hottest hit songs every Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm.
You can also listen to the amazing chemistry between Haziq and Riena Diana on Sembang Squad, the drive-time segment where they will be discussing their hot takes on current happenings. Their segment will air every Monday to Friday from 3pm to 7pm.
As the newest addition to the family, Imran Aqil will be on air through his Hot Flix segment, where he will be chatting with celebrities, audiences who are active on social media, gamers, and influencers. It airs from 8pm to 12am, every Monday to Thursday.
On Fridays, Imran Aqil will be on air through Hot Flix Top 40 during the same timing. Through the segment, listeners will get the chance to vote for their favourite song to make it into the chart.
In a collaboration with TV3's Muzik Muzik, Hot FM will be airing the Carta Muzik Muzik 30 Hot FM segment, hosted by Haziq. It will be aired every Sunday, from 8pm to 10pm, with a replay on the following Saturday from 9am to 11am. You can also watch performances of the 20 hottest songs on the chart through Muzik Muzik 36 on TV3.
3. Buletin FM: Formerly known as Kool FM, expect a variety of interesting and informative segments loaded with critical analysis and discussions, as well as the best familiar music
Buletin FM's breakfast segment will be handled by TV host Ally Iskandar and Buletin Utama's news anchor, Hawa Rizwana. Their segment, Fokus Pagi bersama Ally Iskandar dan Hawa Rizwana, airs every week day from 6am to 10am.
Meanwhile, Haiza, who previously hosted the morning segment with AG and Muaz, will now conduct her very own segment called Santai Siang bersama Haiza. A multitude of topics ranging from multiple perspectives will be discussed during the segment, which airs every week day from 10am to 3pm.
Buletin FM's drive-time pair consists of current announcers, Muaz and Izwan Azir. On their segment, Diskusi Harian bersama Muaz & Izwan, they will be discussing interesting subjects such as sports and community issues. Tune in to them every week day from 3pm to 7pm for a thorough discussion of societal news.
Known for his poetic ingenuity, Fedtri Yahya will be hosting the night segment called Ilham Sanubari bersama Fedtri Yahya. There will also be interesting content such as Luahan Hati and Ceritera Puisi Cinta, which will air every Monday to Friday, 9pm to 12am.
For a more focused review and coverage of local and foreign sports, join Hanif Miswan by listening to Spectator Sukan every Saturday from 8pm to 10pm. You can also listen to its replay on Sunday, 9am to 11am.
4. 8FM: Rebranding itself from One FM, 8FM aims to entertain and inform through quality storytelling, positive, compelling content, and hit songs
After leaving the radio industry for four and a half years, Royce Tan is making a comeback on 8FM. He will be partnering with Angeline Ooi to host the breakfast show, 8FM Good Vibe Everyday (8FM 日日好精神), in which they'll discuss current news, community, and important issues for Malaysian Chinese. Tune in every Monday to Friday, 6am to 10am.
The morning continues with 8FM Hana at 10 (8FM NA 么 十 在), hosted by Hana from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. She will be feeding you informative content based on fun facts, entertainment news, and exploring lifestyle content in our daily life.
The pairing of Kyann Lim and Orange Tan will entertain your evening through the 8FM OK Family (8FM OK 大小事) drive-time show. The pair will be debating on issues that are happening in our daily life, as well as doing song dedications requested by listeners. Join them every Monday to Friday, from 4pm to 8pm.
Your nights are now more energetic, thanks to 8FM's night segment, 8FM AMAZING YEAH! Host Rickman Chia will catch you up on what's trending on social media, drama, reality shows, music, and entertainment, from Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, and Billboard. Join him from 9pm to 12am, every Monday to Friday.
