Her 1988 show in Rio de Janeiro, which drew 180,000 people, remains one of the largest concert audiences for any single performer.

Best known for hit songs such as Proud Mary, River Deep - Mountain High, What's Love Got To Do With It, and One of the Living, the singer-songwriter, actress, and author was announced to have passed away on her official Instagram page.

The rock and roll star had been battling health issues in recent years
The Guardian reported that she was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016 and had a kidney transplant the following year.
Turner, who started her singing career in the 1960s, won eight Grammy Awards throughout her 66-year career, and was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 as a solo artist.
According to BBC, she was initially inducted into the hall of fame alongside the late Ike Turner, her ex-husband and American musician, in 1991.
Turner retired from performing in 2009, after completing her final tour, 'Tina! 50th Anniversary', where she sold out various shows
According to Reuters, her biggest concert, which drew a crowd of 180,000 at Rio de Janeiro in 1988, remains one of the largest concert audiences for any single performer to date.
The singer was forthright in describing her abusive marriage to her former husband, explaining that she had suffered bruised eyes, busted lips, a broken jaw, and other injuries that repeatedly sent her to the emergency room.
She married her second husband, German music executive Erwin Bac, in 2013, who later donated one of his kidneys to her after they had discovered that she had kidney failure in 2017.
The superstar also suffered the loss of her eldest son, Craig, to suicide in 2018, whose father was her former bandmate Raymond Hill. Her other son, Ronnie, whose father was Ike Turner, also died in 2022.
She is survived by Bach and her two adopted sons, who are Ike's children from a previous relationship.
