Palworld is an action-adventure, survival, and monster-taming game that's almost similar to the Pokémon video game series
The game is so similar that The Pokémon Company has pledged to investigate potential intellectual property infringements
Released on 19 January this year, Palworld is dubbed "Pokémon with guns" due to its inclusion of guns which you can use in battle.
Despite positive reviews, Palworld's perceived similarities to the family-friendly Pokémon series have sparked debates.
The creators of Palworld even received death threats for being too similar to the Pokémon games
"We have received libellous comments about our artists and some tweets that seem close to death threats," PocketPair CEO Takuro Mizobe revealed in a post on X.
Nintendo, an investor in The Pokémon Company, declined to comment to Reuters.
