Thomas Shelby is back!

A Peaky Blinders movie is in the works, set to air on Netflix, and will be a follow-up to the popular crime drama series that ended in 2022 after six seasons.

According to Variety, it will be produced by Oscar winner Cillian Murphy himself, who will return as the lead character, Thomas Shelby.

"It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me…" Murphy told Netflix. "It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans."

Filming is set to take place in September 2024 in Birmingham, England, and the movie is expected to be released sometime in 2025

"When I first directed Peaky Blinders over 10 years ago, we didn't know what the series would become, but we did know that there was something in the alchemy of the cast and the writing that felt explosive," Tom Harper, who directed some episodes of the show's first season in 2013, said.

"Peaky has always been a story about family — and so it's incredibly exciting to be reuniting with Steve and Cillian to bring the movie to audiences across the world on Netflix," he added.

Harper will be directing the new film from a script by Peaky Blinders creator Knight.
