Entertainment portal, XTRA, is on the hunt for the next big music sensation through its all-new digital talent search campaign, XTRA XSTAR!
If you've ever belted out tunes in the shower, dreamed of performing in front of thousands, or fantasised about recording your very own album, this is your chance to make those dreams come true.
XTRA XSTAR is the latest and greatest initiative by XTRA, aiming to shine a spotlight on fresh singing talent across Malaysia.

That's right! The campaign is taking over the digital space, making it easier than ever for aspiring singers to get their big break — no matter where you're from or what your style is.
Muhammad Kamaruddin Mohd Razal, the Campaign Manager and Chief Editor at XTRA said, "Through XTRA XSTAR, we are opening new opportunities for all talented and interested individuals to become singers.
"Using digital platforms like TikTok, with its innovative approach, gives participants the chance to show their creativity in delivering unique and captivating singing performances," he added.
Here's how you can join the XTRA XSTAR:
STEP 1: Record a video of you singing your heart out on TikTok
STEP 2: Include the hashtag #XTRAXSTAR2024
You can start submitting your entries from 2 September onwards, just make sure your account is set to public before you post.
There's no age limit or restrictions on music genre — anyone can join, as long as you're not currently signed with any recording or management company.
20 lucky participants will be selected by a panel of professional judges to proceed to the next round
Participants will be judged based on their creativity, vocal quality, and the uniqueness of their performances by a panel of judges consisting of well-known celebrities and music industry professionals.
What's even more exciting is that from the 20 selected participants, the public will get to decide who makes it to the top five. Fans will have the chance to vote for their favourite performers on the XTRA website, and those with the most votes will move on to the final showdown. The final five contestants will duke it out in a live, nail-biting finale on XTRA's TikTok account.
