Canada's PM Justin Trudeau Is Now A Marvel Hero
His boxing skills play a part.
You know Justin Trudeau as the Prime Minister of Canada. But did you know that the people's favourite is now also a comic book hero?
Yep, that's Justin Trudeau on the cover of a Marvel comic, "Civil War II: Choosing Sides", sporting red boxing gloves and a sleeveless top emblazoned with a red maple leaf, looking all relaxed while sitting in a boxing ring, surrounded by a group of Canadian superheroes
Trudeau will appear on the variant cover of Marvel’s Civil War II: Choosing Sides #5, slated for release at the end of August. The cover is an alternative to the main cover.
theguardian.comIt’s written by Canadian writer and cartoonist Chip Zdarsky and Trudeau plays a role in the story. Trudeau is now advising superheroes. But are the boxing gloves just for show or does he actually punch somebody? “Yes,” Zdarsky said.

“I didn’t want to do a stuffy cover – just like a suit and tie – put his likeness on the cover and call it a day,” he told Canadian Press.
“I wanted to kind of evoke a little bit of what’s different about him than other people in power right now. You don’t see [Barack] Obama strutting around in boxing gear, doing push-ups in commercials or whatnot.”
Pérez used multiple photos of Trudeau as inspiration to create a character that looked like him but also had a comics element. “There’s a particular twinkle in the PM’s eye, and his smile is quite characteristic,” he said.
