Fox TV Group chairman Gary Newman today confirmed chatter that the network is in talks for a new installment of Chris Carter’s cult supernatural drama, which starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Newman went on to say he was “hopeful” about the outcome.

Good news, ’90s nostalgists: The New York Times reports that Netflix is ordering a reboot of The Magic School Bus. Called The Magic School Bus 360°, the new series will be a reboot of the popular ’90s children’s cartoon from Scholastic Media that originally from 1994 until 1997.

It was a surprise when Cartoon Network — a channel with loads of nostalgic potential — announced it was rebooting “The Powerpuff Girls” for a 2016 return. The Emmy Award-winning cartoon ran for 78 episodes in the late ‘90s and followed a deceptively adorable group of superheroes.

TV Line is reporting that Netflix is planning to revive the classic sitcom Full House with a 13-episode spinoff series entitled Fuller House. According to TV Line, the revival will star Candace Cameron Bure, who played eldest daughter DJ in the original series, and Andrea Barber, who played DJ’s endearing but borderline mentally ill friend Kimmy Gibbler.

Mulan, the story of a girl who becomes a great warrior after disguising herself as a boy, is the next Disney movie on the list to be made into a live action film. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney has bought a script written by Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek, while Chris Bender and J.C. Spink have been named as producing the project.
