The daredevil crew of the Fast and Furious franchise soars to new heights in the all-new official trailer for the series' 7th outing and the late Paul Walker's final appearance in the films.
Strap yourselves in, #FastAndFurious fans! Universal Studios has just released the official trailer for the much-anticipated Furious 7 and it's everything you've been hoping for (and more!)
The trailer for Furious 7, the seventh movie in the Fast & Furious franchise, was released on Saturday during a special world premiere event at Universal Studios, which was live-streamed on E! Online.
eonline.comFurious 7 marks the late Paul Walker's "last ride" in the Fast and Furious films. Walker passed away late last year, following a tragic car crash in California
The film was in production when Walker died suddenly in a high-speed car crash in November 2013. He had completed the majority of shooting for the latest instalment of the street racing franchise, and producers employed digital effects with the help of Walker’s brothers Cody and Caleb to finish his parts.
independent.co.ukFurious 7 picks up a few years after the events in Fast and Furious 6, with new villain Ian Shaw (played by Jason Statham) seeking revenge against Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew for the death of his brother
Fans of the “Fast & Furious” series will remember that Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) was the main antagonist in the sixth installment. The former special-operations mercenary intended to bomb the capital of the U.K., and went up against Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) and the rest of their team. Along the way, Mia (Jordana Brewster), Dominic’s sister and Brian’s girlfriend, was kidnapped by Shaw. In the end, everything worked out. Dominic was able to stop Shaw and his crew, killing the former when the SUV he was in flew out of the cargo section of the plane that they were fighting in.
ibtimes.comIt's business as usual for the crew, as they blow our minds with we-can't-believe-they-just-did-that stunts such as jumping off an aircraft while INSIDE THEIR CARS...
... And that gut-clenching moment when Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) races against the laws of gravity while running along the side of a bus plunging itself over a cliff
Also, what's a Fast and Furious movie without souped-up cars chasing each other around, huh?
It's not an action movie without at least one character walking away from a raging inferno... so here, have Jason Statham walking away from an explosion while threatening someone over the phone
Feels alert: You might find yourself holding back tears when Dom calls the crew his "family" and subsequently cuts away to a shot of Paul Walker
Furious 7 is set to be released in Malaysian cinemas on 2 April 2015
Directed by James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious), Vin Diesel and Paul Walker return in the sequel along with most of their crew - Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodeiguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson and Jordana Brewster. Jason Statham is in hot pursuit as the film's villain (brother of Luke Evans' character Shaw) and other cast members include Lucas Black, Tony Jaa, Djimon Housou, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Russell.
