1. "I think I loved the weirdness of it. I loved how I felt I’d never get another opportunity to be like this in my life." – Taylor Swift

Bombalurina, played by Taylor Swift, is a mischievous, confident, and flirtatious cat who has an intense hatred of villain Macavity.

Even as a Broadway show, 'CATS' was always known for its quirky, human-like cat people. Thus, seeing the actors with whiskers, ears, and tails may be both weird and captivating.

Swift also mentioned that they were taught how to move like actual cats, so it's definitely going to be a little unusual to see the actors prancing around like felines. But perhaps that is what's going to make watching 'CATS' so fascinating!

2. "We sing and it’s our own movements, so the performances are all live. And the dancing, from ballet to hip-hop to tap, is just world-class." – Rebel Wilson

Rebel Wilson plays Jennyanydots, a seemingly lazy cat who spends the day sitting around and napping, but runs the household at night.

Wilson also shared that the intensive demands from the live singing and dancing was all worth it in the end, claiming that the show was going to be absolutely "epic".

With the dance numbers choreographed by none other than Tony Award-winning choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, you know the spins and twirls are going to be nothing short of amazing!

3. “...it’s a show where everybody is welcome. Grandparents and grandchildren and everybody in between can enjoy it on various levels.” – James Corden

James Corden is Bustopher Jones, a cheerful cat who enjoys visiting gentlemen’s clubs and fine dining.

'CATS' indeed is a movie for everyone. Longtime fans of the Broadway show will enjoy it, crazy cat people will love it, and everybody else, regardless if they're young or old, will definitely find it intriguing.

Moreover, the movie has an uplifting message: the importance of forgiveness. We are stronger together as a community when we accept rather than ignore the fallen, the forgotten, and the disgraced.

With all the positive feels, this movie is perfect to watch with your family and friends, especially during this festive season.

4. "It’s glorious to have been included in it, I must say." – Judi Dench

Judi Dench plays Old Deuteronomy, a wise and elderly cat who is the leader of the Jellicle clan.

Dench's character is actually a male in the original musical, thus, she explained that being cast in the role was “totally unexpected” considering that it is typically given to men.

Nevertheless, for those who are all too familiar with Old Deuteronomy being portrayed by a guy, it will definitely be refreshing to see a strong feminine take on the character.

5. “It's an incredible piece of art done by some of the best people in the world." – Jason Derulo

Jason Derulo is Rum Tum Tugger, often portrayed as a rock star who loves the limelight and flirts with all the girls.

You can expect 'CATS' to be truly a work of art, especially since it is directed by Tom Hooper, recipient of the Academy Award for Best Director.

With the movie being something that's completely different from any other films, watching it is going to be like "a deportation to another dimension", as Derulo describes it.

As long as you prepare yourself for what you are about to see, you're bound to enjoy watching 'CATS'!

6. "The scale of this film is huge. Three or four times bigger from the cat perspective." – Idris Elba

Master criminal Macavity, played by Idris Elba, is the villain of the story who possesses mystical hypnosis powers.

The props on the set of 'CATS' were actually three times larger than normal human size. The fact that they weren't CGI makes it even more realistic, and it's certainly going to be interesting to see what the world would look like from a cat's perspective.

7. "'It's such an honor to sing it, it really is. Songs like that, you don't touch." – Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson plays Grizabella, a lonely outcast who constantly seeks acceptance from the Jellicle cats.

Hudson sings Memory, the musical’s most famous song, in one long, uninterrupted take that was not altered in postproduction.

Although only a small part of the song was featured in the trailer, it's evident that Hudson added a lot of heart to it, allowing the emotion to do the talking. We can't wait to hear the full song on the big screen!

8. "A confession: I’ve never been a fan of cats... But I’ve just seen the final cut of the imminent 'CATS' movie and I’m a convert." – Ian McKellen

Gus the Theatre Cat, played by Ian McKellen, is an old yet revered cat who suffers from palsy.

Sir Ian McKellen, best known for playing Gandalf in 'The Lord of the Rings' and Magneto in 'X-Men' films, claimed he was a devoted dog lover. However, the 'CATS' movie has changed his mind.

McKellen says he was converted to a cat person after watching the final cut of the movie. So if the fascinatingly weird 'CATS' trailer wasn't convincing enough for you to want to watch it, perhaps knowing that the movie made someone become a cat lover will do the trick!

9. "It’s something very different, unique, unusual; it’s going to take people a little while to adjust themselves to it." – Francesca Hayward

Francesca Hayward plays Victoria, a shy, naive white kitten who finds herself part of the Jellicle tribe after roaming the streets.

Although new to the big screen, Hayward is a professional ballerina in The Royal Ballet. Just from the trailer alone we could tell that she is a flawless dancer, with her grace and precision leaving a lasting impression.

When talking about the movie, Hayward acknowledged that the appearances of the humanoid cat characters may seem a little bizarre. However, she assures that seeing everyone as cats will become quite normal as the movie goes along.
