Be Jealous! Japanese Women Can Hire Hot Men To Wipe Away Their Tears At The Office
When you need a shoulder to cry on...
Have you ever felt so stressed out at work that all you want to do is to lie down or cling onto someone and cry your eyes out?
Well, you can't exactly do that because it's not socially acceptable... but things are a little different in Japan.
In fact, there's a bizarre service that sends out good-looking men - armed with the softest and most absorbent handkerchiefs - to lend stressed out Japanese career women a shoulder to cry on!
The concept of the business, called Ikemeso Danshi (loosely translated as "good looking men who cry"), is that women who feel under pressure working in a busy, male-dominated environment, sometimes want to do something "traditionally feminine", you know, like cry.
dazeddigital.comHiroki Terai, creator of Ikemeso - the firm advertising the service, said, "Japanese women are under tremendous stress at the office here in Tokyo, which often ends in in tears. We are here to provide a kind word and brush the tears away by one of our seven lovely men on call."
dailymail.co.uk"More and more women are trying to hold down professional jobs these days but the male dominated, workaholic workforce makes it hard for them,” he said. “We want such put-upon women to have a good cry and feel better when they feel targeted.”
odditycentral.comSo, how does this even work? First, you place an "order" for the hunk of your choice to come around. So far, there are 6 different ones you can choose from - each of them licensed crying therapists - with each offering a different kind of experience.
The men's looks range from muscular and manly to the sweet, boy-next-door types, with labels on their pictures such as bad boy and intellectual dude. Or for the woman with a particular need, a dentist.
tnp.sgYour selected ikemen will then drop by your office to help you de-stress with a good cry. If you're crying already, he will blot your tears away while comforting you with kind words and even stroking your cheek to calm you down. Yep, just like they do in those cheesy romance movies.
If you haven't started crying yet by the time he gets to your office, your ikemen will sit you down to watch some sad videos which are guaranteed to unleash the floodgates.
He will even cry WITH you as a sign of empathy!
The service, having been launched only last month, is currently limited to the Kanto region in Tokyo, Japan with each session costing 7,900 yen (RM284)
Founder Hiroki Terai is no stranger to ventures that involve crying as a form of therapy. Two years ago, he launched a crying therapy group and even published a photo book of crying men in 2014 called 'Ike-Meso Danshi' ('Handsome Crying Boys')
