Malaysian Influencer Gains Worldwide Attention For Pulling Off Epic Prank At Shoe Store
The employee's reaction deserves a clap.
Malaysian influencer Harvinth Skin's prank video of him pretending to steal a new pair of sneakers in a popular footwear store has gone viral.
Very. Viral.
The video uploaded by the online personality himself on Monday, 26 November, has since received more than 470,000 Facebook shares and 110,000 retweets.
The prank video has even reached as far as the other side of the world.
Harvinth is seen in the video trying on a pair of sneakers, as a store employee named Martin assists him
But in a quick twist of events, he immediately dashes out of the store wearing the new pair of kicks – without paying for them
Thinking that he's trying to steal the shoes, the quick-thinking employee immediately chases Harvinth – still carrying the shoe box in hand and all
But before reaching him, Harvinth is seen running back to the JD Sports store acting like he was merely testing out the pair of shoes.
Here's the look of an extremely relieved employee knowing that he won't be getting fired from his job any time soon.
Apparently, Harvinth bought the shoes in the end, apologised to Martin, and gave him a hug.
The video has sent the Internet into a frenzy, even catching the attention of JD Sports Malaysia's CEO himself
He responded to Harvinth's prank telling him to "stop scaring the staff" and that he'll need to "have a word" with his security guards.
