Malaysia Day Videos Of 2015 That Show Us Exactly How To Celebrate The Beauty Of Diversity
With all the bitter incidents that have been going on lately, it is difficult to see beyond all that ugliness. But in conjunction with Malaysia Day, these videos have proven that unity is something that a vast number of Malaysians uphold and believe in.
While National Day is all about liberation, Malaysia Day celebrates the gift that is unity
Malaysia Day was born on 16 September 1963, when Malaya (peninsular Malaysia) joined forces with North Borneo (now Sabah), Sarawak and Singapore to form what we know today as Malaysia.
Unfortunately, due to racial tensions, Singapore opted out of the formation on 7 August 1965.
However, Malaysia Day has only been popularly celebrated since it was declared as a public holiday in 2010.

We at SAYS love throwing in a little bit of humour into everything we do. One thing is for sure, we love bonding over food, amazing Malaysian food with explosive flavours!
5. Burger Cina vs Burger Melayu vs Burger India #KitaSemuaSamaJe
Food is a universal connector. myBurgerLab took that ever so familiar concept and decided to put Malaysians through a little test. They created the Malaysian platter; basically, three identical burgers with their only difference being the names for each one, burger Melayu, Cina and India. Watch as fellow Malaysians try and seek out the differences between the burgers. The message was crystal clear; we might have different sounding names, come wrapped in a motley of colours or believe in a variety of ideas that might not always coincide, but at the core, we are all the same, just a bunch of Malaysians crazy in love with our local cuisine.
