Man Got Out Of His Car In Middle Of Bangkok Traffic To Water Plants 'Cause It Was That Bad
No one knows where he got the hose from.
A man watering plants during standstill traffic in Bangkok, Thailand has gone viral on TikTok
The amusing scene was shared by TikTok user @phetjessada, who was filming from inside a taxi.
"Bangkok's traffic is so bad that you can come down to water the plants," he wrote.
The incident took place at the Ratchaprasong intersection, notorious for traffic congestion due to numerous retail stores and shopping malls like centralwOrld nearby.
Maybe that's why the man felt comfortable enough to start watering the plants in the middle of traffic.
Now, you might be wondering: where did he get the hose from?
And you're not alone. Many netizens were also curious.
"Did he really bring his own hose and faucet?" one amused netizen asked.
"There's a water tank behind the pickup with a water pump. I've seen it before," another replied, suggesting that the man could have attached a hose to the tank.
Meanwhile, another netizen wondered if watering plants could have been the man's job.
"Or maybe he who grew them himself?" they asked.
It wouldn't be surprising if he really is a gardener.
He seems to be in his element, as if he's at home tending to his plants.
"He's so chill," @phetjessada can be heard saying in the video, conversing with his taxi driver.
The video, which was posted on 3 July, has gained over 420,000 views and 36,000 likes on TikTok.
"Only in Thailand," a netizen commented.
"Every day, Thailand always has something to laugh about," one wrote.
"Activities to do when stuck in traffic," another joked.
"Standing and spraying like he's in front of the house," another user said, noting the man's nonchalant behaviour.
The man's botanical break also sparked some playful jabs about Bangkok's traffic in the comments section
A couple of TikTok users shared their own experiences with being stuck in Bangkok traffic.
"One time, I was stuck at the Embassy. I had bought packs of Lay's snacks for 32 baht (RM4.10) each. I ended up eating two packs and watched two episodes until I finished an entire series. This is nothing new to me," shared one user.
"I once saw something similar at a movie theatre near the monument. There was a lot of traffic. A taxi driver got out of the car and casually started chatting with the other drivers," recounted another.
