Man Decides To Park His Kancil & Saga On His Roof To Make Space For Wedding
He needed extra space to set up a tent for the wedding feast.
A man in Jerlun, Kedah, has gone viral for his unusual parking solution involving his Perodua Kancil and Proton Saga
According to Harian Metro, 64-year-old Awang Ali Abdullah decided to place two cars on his roof to make space for his niece's wedding in his backyard.
He used a crane to lift the cars onto his home in Kampung Matang Bonglai Kechil, Ayer Hitam, as there was simply no space to park the two vehicles.
"I never expected this to go viral on social media because my intention was just to temporarily park two cars on the roof of my house to set up a tent for the feast," he cheerfully told the Malay daily.
Awang said he and his family managed to lift the cars onto the roof in just 30 minutes last Thursday, 31 October
By the time of his niece's wedding on Saturday, 2 November, people were visiting from near and far just to see the two cars perched on his rooftop.
"Some people came from as far as Penang just to take pictures of the Perodua Kancil and Proton Saga on my roof.
"I was also surprised when my nieces and nephews showed me the videos that went viral on TikTok. I didn't expect that they would get so many views," he said.
Around 1,500 guests attended the wedding, which he said became especially lively as many took the opportunity to pose with the cars on the roof.
