A recipient of a $60 parking fine attempted to pay his outstanding fee with 1200 five cent coins, pouring the contents of his sizeable coin sack over the receptionist's counter at an Adelaide City Council office.

A man who appears to be a senior member of staff at Adelaide City Council, "Here’s your options...you can take your money, go back to the bank, get it transferred over into notes or you can pretty much leave.”

A council spokesman confirmed to news.com.au the incident occurred at their customer service centre. The man, who posted a video of his stunt, still has a bill to pay.
