An American based in Kuala Lumpur recently took to TikTok to express her amazement at Christmas decorations in Malaysia
Content creator @lilithinkl claimed in her video that US mall decorations are not nearly as extravagant as those in Malaysia.
"How is it possible that Malaysia goes harder on Christmas than my own country? Than a country that has 63% of a Christian population?" she asked.
She said that US malls cannot compare to the "holiday cheer" that Malaysian shopping malls have.
Lilith added that she has never seen a Christmas tree as tall as the one at Suria KLCC.
Her video has garnered close to a million views, with Malaysians proudly telling her that these elaborate celebrations are customary of our multicultural country
"We celebrate everything," said a TikTok user.
"You should go to Imago Shopping Mall in Sabah! Every year their decorations never fail, for every single celebration!" said another.
Meanwhile, another netizen joked, "We go hard for everything except for work."
