Man Named Macaroni 85 Names Newborn Son 'HTML' In Honour Of His Job & Family Tradition
The baby's dad said that uncommon names are part of a family tradition with his own name being Mac, short for Macaroni 85.
A web designer in the Philippines named his newborn son Hypertext Mark Up Language — or HTML for short — in honour of his profession
According to a Facebook post shared by web developer Mac Pascual, the baby was born last week.
The child has since unknowingly become an overnight celebrity due to his one-of-a-kind name.
HTML — whose full name is Hypertext Mark Up Language Rayo Pascual — was born at the Bulacan Medical Mission Group Cooperative, which is about an hour's drive from Manila, Filipino news portal INQUIRER.net reported.
Apparently having unique names seems to be a tradition in the family, with the new dad's full name being Macaroni 85
It was revealed in INQUIRER.net's interview with one of the baby's aunts that she and her other sister were named Sincerely Yours 98 and Spaghetti 88, respectively.
Sincerely Yours added that her sister Spaghetti has named her two children Cheese Pimiento and Parmesan Cheese. The children go by the nicknames Chippy and Peewee.
They also have relatives named Design and Research.
Baby HTML's mother, Salie Rayo Pascual, told the INQUIRER.net that she was overjoyed to welcome her firstborn child.
She added that their relatives were delighted by the child's name.
A post introducing HTML that was shared by his aunt, Sincerely Yours, on Facebook last Thursday, 10 June, has since gone viral
The post has already gained 12,000 likes, 2,200 comments, and 9,000 shares at the time of writing.
Many netizens were tickled by the name.
The excited dad uploaded a web developer edition of the kid's alphabet on his Facebook page on Monday, 14 June, highlighting the mention of his son's name on the table.
