A doctor looking at a toddler’s X-ray received a shock when she found SpongeBob SquarePants smiling back at her. Dr Ghofran Ageely had scanned the 16-month-old hospital patient’s chest to find out what foreign object he had swallowed.

Looking at the X-ray, Ageely told Live Science that he "was amazed by the visible details. You can see his freckles, shoes and fingers."
