A 48-second video showing a woman's unexpected act of kindness at a toll both has gone viral on Facebook

The dashcam footage shared by Aderen Lim on Facebook shows a Honda Civic driver seemingly stuck in a Touch 'n Go (TnG) toll lane.

The driver can be seen tapping his TnG card a few times on the payment device, but to no avail.

He then uses his hand to signal the car behind to make way for him so that he can reverse, presumably to try his luck in another lane.

However, before he could back out, a lady then appears in the video and walks hurriedly towards the Civic.

Without hesitation, she taps her own TnG card for the boom gate to raise up

"Lai, aunty pay for you."

That is probably what the woman said when she got down her car to pay the toll fare.

The woman even ushers the driver to go through as if to assure him not to worry about it, before walking briskly back to her car.

The incident is believed to have taken place at the Penchala toll plaza on the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP).

As of writing, the video has received around 383,000 views, 1,900 shares, and 381 comments, with netizens praising the woman's actions

Some called her "the best" and commended her for being patient.

"Honestly speaking, the aunty was not angry, so we got (no rights) to be angry. Sometimes we think that our Touch 'n Go still has money in it but when we realise that (it has no money), there's already a car behind. And we can't do anything after that," wrote one user.

On the flip side, some Facebook users also criticised the Honda driver.

One user commented, "Aunty is the greatest. Even with an expensive car [Honda Civic] your Touch 'n Go doesn't have money. Shameful."

"Embarrassing to use a Honda but don't top-up money [into their Touch n' Go card] and depend on others to help instead," wrote another user.
