M'sians Say This 'Cheap Nasi Kandar' Sold At A Restaurant In S'pore Is Actually Nasi Lemak

An advertisement for a "value nasi kandar" sold at Ah Miao's Kitchen, a restaurant in Singapore, was shared in a Facebook group with the caption, "[...] [Is] this the cheapest Nasi Kandar in Singapore?"
Ah Miao's Kitchen serves authentic, home-cooked Malaysian-style food, according to their Facebook and Instagram pages.
The dish is sold at SGD2.80 (RM8.85) and Malaysians are saying it resembles nasi lemak, down to all its traditional condiments like fried peanuts, anchovies, and hard-boiled egg.
The shop, however, offers customers a choice of white rice or turmeric rice.
The eatery even calls the dish their "Classic Nasi Kandar" and describes it as an "authentic Malaysian" dish
The restaurant's take on nasi kandar did not sit well with netizens in the Malaysia-Singapore Border Crossers (MSBC) Facebook group, who claimed it was nasi lemak instead
For those who are unfamiliar with the dish, nasi kandar is a plate of steamed rice served with a variety of curries, gravies, and side dishes.
One netizen even renamed the dish in the poster to "NASI LE-MAKAN-DAR", and listed all the elements of the two dishes that can be spotted in the image.
