A Malaysian content creator has unexpectedly caught Norwegian football star Erling Haaland's attention after posting a cheeky Instagram video

Lim Siow Wei, who was recognised on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for social media, marketing, and advertising, is known for her humorous, absurd, and satirical how-to videos.

In a video posted yesterday, 21 July, titled "How to Become Haaland's Friend", Lim jokingly shares a series of increasingly ridiculous steps to win over the Manchester City striker.

The video shows her catching fish, cooking pasta, running a street food stall outside a football stadium to get Haaland's attention, and even attempting to style his hair using strands of pasta.

True to Lim's signature style, the video is packed with quirky edits that make it look as though it was filmed on a Photoshop canvas.

The video ends with a speech bubble above Haaland that reads "Best Friends Forever".

The bizarre clip quickly caught Haaland's attention, with the footballer leaving a comment on the post just an hour after it was published

His two-emoji comment garnered over 119,000 likes.

"Wahhhh, Haaland commented," said a netizen, while another added, "@erling he is everywhere."
