Erling Haaland has been everywhere lately, from scoring goals and pulling off his iconic Viking celebration to becoming an Internet favourite for his goofy moments and hilarious facial expressions
But it looks like the Norwegian football star has reached a whole new level of fame: appearing on packs of salmon at Village Grocer.

Instagram user @champagnedalie13 recently spotted Haaland's face staring back from Norwegian Atlantic salmon fillets at Village Grocer in Tasek Central, Johor, where stickers featuring the Manchester City striker appeared alongside the words "Choose Seafood From Norway".
Watch her video below:
Turns out, the football star is actually the official ambassador for Seafood from Norway, a brand by the Norwegian Seafood Council
The partnership was announced in 2024, with Seafood from Norway saying the collaboration brings together "Norwegian heritage and athletic excellence".
According to the organisation, seafood has always been part of Haaland's diet since he was growing up in Bryne, a small town in southern Norway. The company also stated that as a professional footballer, he has focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle to perform at the highest level.
The collaboration makes sense too, as Haaland isn't just one of Norway's biggest sporting exports, but seafood is also one of the country's most famous exports.

And it looks like fans are loving the unexpected crossover, with some saying they've been buying 'Haaland salmon' since last year
