[VIDEO] Netizens Tickled By Motorcyclist Who Got Down To Pay Toll On Rawang Highway
The video was recorded at Kundang Timur Toll Plaza, Rawang last week.
It is common knowledge that motorcyclists do not have to pay tolls when they are using highways in Malaysia.
But it looks like a biker and his pillion rider might have missed the memo.
A 24-second-long video showing a motorcyclist and a pillion rider tapping their Touch 'n Go card at the Kundang Timur Toll Plaza, Rawang recently went viral.
"This is what happens when kampung boys use the highway. I've been watching them for a long time and decided to film them at the end," read the caption of the video, continuing "Please don't be so gullible."
The Facebook video was shared over 2,100 times at the time of writing
After watching the video, thousands of netizens jumped into the comments section to comment about the stunt
"I think they are just kidding around. Sometimes, humans really think outside the box," one netizen wrote.
"If the government sees this, they will install toll booths at the motorcycle lanes because they see that Malaysians can afford to pay tolls," a Facebook user said in jest.
Another netizen commented, "At least they are honest. They don't take your rights away. They know they are using a highway that charges, so they pay the toll."
However, SAYS managed to find the owner of the video and he said that the video was deliberately filmed for fun
The prankster who only wants to be known as Abdul Malek told SAYS that the video was recorded last week and he was the person riding the motorcycle.
"I made the video for fun," Malek said, adding, "I don't care about what netizens may be saying. All I wanted to do was to entertain myself and others."
He added that the video was filmed by his friends who were driving behind him and he denied that any of them live in a village.
