Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that the individual income tax relief limit will be increased from RM9,000 to RM12,000
During the tabling of Budget 2027 today, 9 October, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said the government recognises the concerns of the middle-income group (M40), who continue to face the rising cost of living.
He added that the individual income tax relief limit had not been revised since 2010.
