Taylor Louise is taking her singing journey from Sarawak to London once again
The 12-year-old Sarawakian singer has been invited to a live audition for Britain's Got Talent (BGT) in London on 5 September, and she's hoping to earn a spot in the next round.
But this isn't the Judges' Auditions just yet.
Taylor explained that the upcoming audition is only her first step, and she'll still have to impress the BGT team to earn a chance to perform in front of the judges.
"Will I make it there? Will I make it to the next round? I don't know… but I want to try," she said.
In a recent social media post, Taylor shared that travelling from Sarawak to London at such short notice would be a huge commitment for her family
They have just 23 days to make the necessary arrangements and gather enough support to get her there.
The timing is especially challenging as Taylor only recently returned from New York, where she represented Malaysia at the New York International Golden Classical Music Awards and performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in July.
She went on to win First Prize and the Excellent Young Talent Special Prize in the 10–12-year-old vocal category.
Now, she's hoping to make another international trip for a shot at one of the UK's biggest talent shows.
Taylor is reaching out to Sarawak Government ministries and agencies, private companies, organisations, her community, and anyone who may wish to support her journey
"Will you help me get there?" she asked.
This isn't her first time performing on an international stage
Last year, she became the first Sarawakian to win her category at the Asia Students Arts Festival, before travelling to London to perform at the Britten Theatre at the Royal College of Music.
She was also named a Winner Showcase Award recipient after performing there.
In December 2025, she made history again by becoming the youngest Sarawakian to perform at Paris' Studio Opéra Bastille.
She also won two awards at the Paris International Music Competition, including the Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize and First Prize in the Pop Category for ages 10 to 12.
Before taking her talent overseas, the Kuching-born singer started out performing at local open mic sessions and busking. She also made her musical theatre debut in Dreamweaver The Musical in 2025.
Now, she's hoping to add Britain's Got Talent to her list of international experiences.
Whether she makes it to the Judges' Auditions remains to be seen, but after applying for two years, Taylor is determined to give it her best shot.
For now, Taylor is asking Malaysians to support her journey however they can, whether that's by sharing her post or offering support.
