This Art Exhibition In Bukit Bintang Features 105 Local Artists, Workshops, And Cool Merch
Plus, admission is free!
Calling all art enthusiasts! Telur Pecah 3.0 is happening from 10 October to 12 November at GMBB, and you won't wanna miss out.
Back for a third year in a row, Telur Pecah 3.0 is a contemporary art exhibition to promote local independent artists, and aims to bridge the gap between the Malaysian public and local arts.
The spirit of Telur Pecah is to break away from convention and embrace the spirit of artist freedom. The exhibition hopes to live up to its namesake, to inspire a breaking of artistic boundaries and encourage a wider appreciation of the arts among the Malaysian public.
This edition of Telur Pecah is the biggest it has ever been, featuring up to 600 artworks from 105 local artists, ranging across five different art categories. Curated once again by founding curator Phillip Wong and with a new collaboration this year with local contemporary arts gallery Core Design Gallery, Telur Pecah 3.0 will also give attendees a chance to witness a full section dedicated to the established local independent gallery's artists and artworks.

This time around, visitors can expect Level 3A of GMBB to be transformed into an exciting contemporary art exhibition, featuring a diverse showcase of local artists.
Telur Pecah has always been about celebrating diversity in Malaysia, whether it's in terms of style, medium, age, or culture. And that's exactly what you'll get to experience at this year's edition.
Next, visitors can also look forward to solo showcases from six talented artists, each featuring specific techniques
The artists for the solo showcases include Jakob Van Klang, Teh Chun Eng, Alice Yee, Vasanthi Naidu, Yap Poh Sim, and Lim Bo Qiang.
From palette knife art and glue art to paint pouring and calligraphy, the wide-ranging styles from these six talents will fill up multiple display units, and you'll get to appreciate each of their signature styles via a series of artworks.
One of the most intriguing sections of Telur Pecah 3.0 is the guest artist installations
A unique and challenging genre, there will be five installations featuring artists exploring and experimenting with multiple mediums and materials to express their curiosity, ideas, as well as opinions about themselves and the world.
Visitors can look forward to:
- An installation made out of stuffed toys and fashion
- An installation made out of papier-mâché
- An installation made out of mixed mediums
- An installation made out of paper / digitally drawn art
- An installation on cyanotype
Some of the artworks displayed at the Telur Pecah 3.0 art exhibition will be made available for sale to the public, with prices ranging from RM50 to RM45,000. Speak to event staff at the exhibition for more information.
On top of the art showcases, Telur Pecah 3.0 will be offering weekend workshops for glue art and palette knife painting
All throughout the month-long event, stay tuned to GMBB's social media to keep track of upcoming workshops.
Besides that, they will also be hosting a competition for the public to pick their favourite artwork at Telur Pecah 3.0. So, make sure you don't miss your chance to vote on social media, 'cause there'll be limited edition Telur Pecah merch up for grabs!
