Have you heard of the Breeze 3-in-1 Power Laundry Capsules?

ICYMI, the capsules have been on the market for a while now, and have been making waves on social media for how convenient and effective they are.

Most importantly, word on the street is that one tiny capsule is enough to clean a whole big load of laundry, removing the toughest of stains. In fact, Breeze claims their small but mighty capsule can effectively remove 99 types of stubborn stains* that are up to seven days old. They are also 99% anti-bacterial and can soften and freshen clothes.

*Based on lab tests.

To find out just how powerful this small capsule is, we decided to test it on a week's load of laundry from a family

From dad's teh tarik and kicap spills, to mum's dirty apron, and a pile of sweaty, muddy workout clothes, the Breeze power laundry capsule had its work cut out for it. Here's a look at our load:

We chose Breeze's main variant — Sakura Blossom — for our review

There are three variants with distinct scents and functions — Sakura Blossom, Fresh Lavender, and Fresh Eucalyptus.

The Sakura Blossom variant we used has a colour protectant function to prevent your clothes from fading.

One highlight of the capsule is how aesthetically pleasing it is. You can clearly see three compartments with different colours and purposes in one tiny pod.

Here's a look at the capsule's size:

While the capsule may be small, Breeze claims that one capsule is enough to clean a 5kg to 7kg load of clothes

According to Breeze, each capsule is ultra-concentrated and powered by enzymes for stronger cleaning power, and is suitable for both front-load and top-load washing machines. If your load is more than 7kg, it's recommended to use two or more capsules for the best results. Our load weighed approximately 4kg to 5kg, so we only used one capsule.

All we had to do was throw the capsule into the washing machine, add the clothes, and then wash them for a full cycle. Our machine's wash cycle took about 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

And voilà, the clothes are done!

The very first thing that caught our attention was the fragrance. Each clothing item smelled really good. What's more, the whole big load of laundry looked and felt super clean.

There were also no remnants from the capsule. According to Breeze, the capsule works to dissolve almost immediately once it comes into contact with water.

But, most importantly, we had to check if the stains were still there.

Here are the before and after pictures of each stained clothing item:

1. Kicap-stained shirt

2. Teh tarik-stained shirt

3. Dirty apron

4. Muddy workout clothes

As you can see, almost all the stains came off. While there were small remnants of the teh tarik stain on the white shirt, it was barely visible — most of it came off. We reckon another wash or two, or maybe a longer wash, would get the stain right off.

Aside from the stains, we thought the clothes' colours looked more vibrant too, most likely from the Sakura Blossom variant's colour protectant function.

So, what's our verdict? Using the Breeze 3-in-1 Power Laundry Capsules was convenient and easy, and for such a tiny capsule, it worked surprisingly well on massive stains.

We didn't have to deal with any messy detergent pouring or use different cleaning, softening, and fragrance agents. Plus, if you're ever travelling interstate or even overseas and want to do your laundry, the capsule would come in handy, especially if you’re washing your clothes at a laundromat.

We think the capsule works well for everyone, especially those who are busy and trying to save time whenever they can, or those looking to have a laundry detergent that takes up minimal space.

Breeze has two pack sizes for all of their variants — 18-capsule tub (RM19.90) and 40-capsule pouch (RM39.90)

The 18-capsule tub for RM19.90 is pretty worth it for small families or if you're staying alone. For those who do big loads of laundry often, you can consider the 40-capsule pouch.

Each variant comes with an additional distinct function. Here’s a look:
- Sakura Blossom: Has a colour protectant to prevent your clothes from fading
- Fresh Eucalyptus: Loaded with the fragrance of Comfort, giving your clothes fresh fragrance and softness
- Fresh Lavender: Each capsule is packed with anti-malodour properties

Besides the main functions, all variants come with naturally derived enzymes, no optical brighteners, and are anti-dust mites as well as anti-bacterial. They also work well for indoor drying.
