Held in conjunction with World Environment Day, Bumi Kita Festival features more than 30 activities ranging from coffee raves and upcycling workshops to dragon boat experiences and free pickleball sessions.
Organised by Acacia Blue and Invictus Blue, the festival aims to make sustainability more accessible through experiences people can see, try, and enjoy for themselves.

1. Start your day with a sustainable coffee rave
Coffee lovers can bring along their own reusable cups and enjoy the festival's Sustainable Coffee Rave. The initiative encourages visitors to reduce single-use waste while enjoying their favourite brews in a lively community setting.
2. Learn how everyday waste can be transformed into something new
The festival will feature a variety of upcycling workshops where participants can get hands-on with materials such as plastic, glass, fabric, paper, and even used cooking oil.
It's a chance to discover creative ways everyday items can be repurposed instead of thrown away.
3. Try fun outdoor activities with friends and family!
Visitors looking for something more active can join community fun runs, group workout sessions, and free pickleball experiences happening throughout the festival.
Families can also take part together, making it an enjoyable weekend activity for both adults and children.
4. Experience dragon boating and other unique activities
Beyond the workshops and fitness sessions, visitors can also participate in dragon boat experiences and educational activities that offer a closer look at teamwork, community, and outdoor recreation.
There will also be natural indigo dye workshops for those interested in arts, crafts, and traditional techniques
5. Discover future sustainability solutions and join conversations shaping a more sustainable future
For those curious about innovation, the festival will feature interactive showcases exploring emerging sustainability solutions, including black soldier flies and micro algae technologies. Visitors can learn how these innovations may help address environmental challenges in the years ahead.
The festival will also host panel discussions featuring youth leaders, policymakers, sustainability advocates, and industry experts.
These sessions will explore topics ranging from conscious consumption and food systems to innovation, wellness, and community action.
