Enjoy chowing down on spicy local delights? Well, you're in for a treat.
From 18 August to 2 September, Carlsberg is organising a pop-up featuring unique, flavour-packed dishes, which pair perfectly with a smooth pint of beer!
As Malaysians, we love having our food packed with spices, from nasi lemak and curries to mala dishes, yasss! And, whenever we travel overseas, we always tend to miss and crave Malaysian food 'cause their food tak cukup rasa lah!
Calling all foodies, we've got a spicy, flavour bomb extravaganza coming your way — Carlsberg's 'Real Spicy Real Smooth' pop-up! Get ready to feast on a specially curated menu all night long and celebrate yummy local spicy food, accompanied by a cold one to quench the heat.

1. From nasi lemak bombs to mala tau fu fah, try out one-of-a-kind dishes that will give you an extra kick of spices
For the Real Spicy Real Smooth pop-up, Carlsberg is collaborating with a few local culinary partners like Monster Chef, Bean Jr, and Churn, to curate delicious, flavourful, and localised spicy dishes that are best paired with Carlsberg Smooth Draught.
Monster Chef, led by Chef KC, will serve seven unique menu items that bring out the essence of local spicy flavours. Some of the food items include devil's curry pocket bun, nasi lemak rice bomb, and many more. Yum!
Apart from that, Bean Jr will be showcasing a mala tau fu fah that comes in three different spicy levels. Ice cream brand Churn will offer Beer-gato, which is an adult version of Affogato that serves their ice cream with Carlsberg Smooth Draught.
Plus, attendees will receive a complimentary bottle of Carlsberg Smooth Draught upon entry. Yayyy! :D
2. Unleash your inner bartender skills by tapping your own beer and crafting special cocktails at a workshop in Carlsberg's smoothest bar
You will get a chance to learn and prepare your own draught beer using the tap at the Carlsberg smoothest bar. Led by professionals, you'll learn the know-how to achieve the perfect serve too.
Always wanted to be a bartending wizard and try your hand at mixing concoctions? Happening every weekend, you'll get to make your own specially curated cocktail using Carlsberg Smooth Draught. This workshop will be conducted by famous mixologist, Jason Julian from Soma Cocktail Bar!
There will be four sessions (1pm, 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm) happening every weekend and it's on a first come, first serve basis.
3. Have a night full of exhilarating activities with your loved ones and capture tonnes of picture-worthy moments for keepsakes
Those who love taking OOTDs will enjoy picture-perfect photo booths. You'll also get to bring home a personalised bottle of Carlsberg Smooth Draught where your photo will be printed and pasted on it.
Plus, you can participate in interactive games, where you confirm will have good laughs and memorable moments with your friends, family, or partner.

4. Party all night long with daily electrifying DJ Sets by renowned DJs, happening every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!
Have you heard fusion hard dance beats and Asian-inspired sounds? Luckily for you, INQUISITIVE, a rising DJ and music producer from Singapore will be making a special appearance and mashing up some familiar hits.
And, if you're aware of the night scene in Malaysia, you surely would have heard of well-known local DJs like Bass Agents, Ken Fung, Ramsey Westwood, and Mizzkiya, who usually spin at music festivals, events, and clubs around Kuala Lumpur.
With such a huge line-up, you'll have the time of your life dancing and vibing along with your friends to various types of party music.
5. Explore different creative styles with exclusive merchandise sold by local brands, Apom! and Gumme, at the pop-up
For the Real Spicy Real Smooth pop-up, APOM!, a local brand that showcases Malaysia through their merchandise, will be selling three Carlsberg-exclusive T-shirts designed with a localised touch.
Those who love personalised accessories can have fun picking and choosing charms from local brand Gumme, which is owned by local influencer, Ju Wei Teoh.
In collaboration with this Carlsberg pop-up, Gumme has curated three unique phone charm designs that will be sold exclusively at this event.
