One Of The Biggest Car Events In Malaysia Is Happening This Weekend!

Automobile aficionados, you may want to free up your calendar for the last weekend of July because Carlist.my is bringing back the DRIVE: Auto Fair
Spanning over the weekend from 27 - 29 July 2018 at the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam, the event promises to be an ideal platform for car lovers to find their dream ride, purchase accessories, and check out the latest car models in the country.
With a tax holiday currently in place before SST kicks in, Carlist.my is expecting a good turnout this year
"We are excited to host the Carlist.my DRIVE: Auto Fair 2018 at Setia City Convention Centre once again.
"Last year we had more than 20,000 visitors and we believe that this year, with the reduction of the GST to 0% and before the implementation of the Sales and Services Tax," said iCar Asia's Chief Executive Officer, Hamish Stone.
Stone added that with over 160,000 vehicles up for sale on Carlist.my, serving more than three million unique visitors a month, the event strives to bring that same experience on-ground for all Malaysians to enjoy
"This event is truly a one-stop platform for visitors to get the best new car deals and shop for accessories, they will be spoilt for choice. With so many exciting offers, we’re set to deliver the best of what’s to come in the automotive space," said Stone.
Test drive new models from well-known brands like BMW, Mazda, Isuzu, Subaru, and Perodua while you enjoy exclusive promotions and deals during the exhibition from other participating brands including Maxis, SOCAR, Ambipur, Ottoman, Trapo, Ninebot, Happy Fresh, and Regal Valet.
Additionally, the company will also be launching a #SafeDriving initiative – consisting of road safety talks and Takata airbag replacements for Honda car owners
"We take safety very seriously and we are thrilled to have the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) together with Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) at the Carlist.my DRIVE: Auto Fair 2018.
"They will be conducting road safety talks, workshops and simulation program for the visitors. Honda will also be offering the Takata airbag replacement program for affected models. So, if you are a Honda car owner and affected by the faulty airbag, please do be sure to bring your car in for an airbag replacement," elaborated Stone.
But it's not all about cars and gears at the event. Carlist.my promises it to be a family affair with fun-filled activities including hot balloon rides and go-kart racing
Take a break from checking out the cool whips as you enjoy delicious grub and beverages from food trucks featured at the event.
Carlist.my will also be giving away a brand new Nissan X-Trail Aero Edition worth RM150,000 together with other cool prizes to lucky winners who register, perform test drives or place car purchase booking during the exhibition. Additionally, Hong Leong Bank will also be present to help customers facilitate their payments towards their new vehicles.
