Malaysians will soon have another spot for a cup of frozen yoghurt, as Australian brand Yo-Chi is set to open its first outlet in Kuala Lumpur this December
The Melbourne-born brand is known for its colourful, self-serve frozen yoghurt concept, where customers can mix and match their own flavours and toppings before paying by weight.
Yo-Chi first opened in Melbourne in 2012 and has since expanded across Australia
It made its international debut in Singapore in August 2025, opening at Orchard Central before adding a second outlet at The Star Vista in May this year.
The concept is pretty straightforward: grab a cup, pick your frozen yoghurt flavours, pile on the toppings, then weigh your creation at the counter
Its range includes flavours such as Original Tart, Salted Butterscotch, Classic Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry Cream, and Acai, alongside rotating seasonal flavours.
And when it comes to toppings, there is plenty to play around with, including mochi, brownie pieces, M&Ms, cookie dough, nuts, fresh fruit, and chocolate sauces.
Its outlets have also drawn long queues in Singapore and the UK
Yo-Chi's first Singapore outlet at Orchard Central attracted snaking queues when it opened, with reports of customers continuing to queue on weekends months later.
More recently, the brand's first UK outlet in London's Notting Hill also drew hours-long queues when it opened in August 2026.
Yo-Chi is expected to open its first KL outlet in December 2026.
