Soft drink enthusiasts may soon find themselves smelling like their favourite fizzy beverage, following an unexpected collaboration between Pepsi and indie cosmetics label Glamlite

Marking Glamlite's debut into the personal care market, the brands announced a limited-edition body care collection featuring two soda-inspired products designed to recreate the distinct aromas of popular soft drinks.

The collection includes the Pepsi Vanilla Slushie Body Scrub and the Pepsi Wild Cherry Body Wash

Both products are retailing for USD12 (RM49) each.

According to formulation details released by Glamlite, the Vanilla Slushie Body Scrub is a foaming sugar scrub containing mineral exfoliants and hydrating glycerin.

Glamlite founder Giselle Hernandez revealed on social media that the ambitious project represents a long-cherished personal dream that required over five years of development

"I spent countless days in our labs, toured leading manufacturing facilities, and worked side by side with incredible chemists to perfect every formula," Hernandez said, noting that she tested over 300 product samples and evaluated roughly 3,000 scent variations from international fragrance houses before settling on the final lineup.

The new skincare line launches with early access via Glamlite's official TikTok Shop storefront at 3am on 1 August

Despite the enthusiasm surrounding the debut, the unusual crossover triggered debate on social media. While beauty creators expressed eagerness to test the active-ingredient formulas, sceptics questioned whether consumers genuinely desire to smell like carbonated beverages throughout the day.
