For Malaysians, Merdeka Day is a time to celebrate the nation's journey and take part in festivities happening across the country together

This year, Grab brought a different kind of energy to the celebrations with 100 women who led the contingent, taking part in Merdeka parades across six locations under its #SisBoleh banner.
The group involved women driver and delivery partners, PWD partners, as well as aspiring female leaders from Grab, GX Bank, and Jaya Grocer.
These efforts were built upon Grab's #SisBoleh initiative, which has supported women's confidence, safety, and opportunities since 2019

Whether it's being on the road and serving customers to leading teams and developing safer ways for people to get around, #SisBoleh highlights and celebrates women from different backgrounds and walks of life.
Among the participating leaders was Naomi Say, Head of Regional Platform Safety at Grab. Her involvement highlighted how women contributed to areas such as leadership, technology, operations, and safety.
The parade also offered a glimpse into what mobility could look like in the years ahead

Electric cars and electric motorcycles featured alongside the contingent, reflecting Grab's focus on more sustainable transportation.
The presence of PWD partners further highlighted the importance of accessible opportunities and participation across different communities.
For Grab, it used the opportunity to celebrate its Malaysian roots while recognising the people who kept communities connected every day

From driver and delivery partners earning through flexible opportunities to employees working behind the scenes, each person represented a different part of the community that contributed to the country's progress.
This gave the #SisBoleh message added significance during Merdeka and reminded everyone that progress was not driven by one group alone, but by people coming together to contribute in their own ways.
