Hotels around Sepang have largely been fully booked ahead of the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix

At the time of writing, reputable 3- to 5-star hotels such as BRIX KLIA By Pinetree, Mtree Hotel Nilai, The youniQ Hotel, Tune Hotel KLIA-KLIA2, Holiday Inn Sepang Airport By IHG, Mövenpick Hotel, and ibis Styles Sepang have sold out for the three-day event from 2 to 4 October.

A SAYS reader also told us that his hotel booking in Sepang was cancelled, only for him to discover that the same room had been relisted at nearly double the original price after the race was announced.

Many boutique hotels located in nearby shoplots are also running low on available rooms, while popular beachfront properties such as Sepang Gold Coast Resort have limited availability.
