Only RM3 For Scaling: Woman Shares How To Book Dental Appointment On MySejahtera
She said the whole appointment only took her 30 minutes.
To reduce waiting time and overcrowding, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has turned MySejahtera into a booking app for Malaysians to book appointments at government hospitals and clinics
Twitter user @alenawhz shared that she tried out the booking service on the app this week and was happy with her experience using it.
The student elaborated that she went in for a dental appointment that was done in only 30 minutes after booking ahead of time at her closest health clinic, Klinik Kesihatan Seremban 2, on Wednesday, 7 June.
Better yet, she shared that her whole scaling and general dental check-up cost her only RM3.
1. First, click on the 'Appointments' button on the app's homepage
Then, scroll all the way down and tap on 'Dental Check Up'.
2. Enter your postcode in the space provided and tap 'Search'
The app will show you the available clinics in the area.
Select your preferred clinic, then you will be able to choose your preferred date and time for your appointment for the week ahead.
"If you don't see anything, you have to be patient and check back in a couple of hours. In my experience, 12am seems to be when they refresh the time slots!" said Alena.
3. When you have gotten your appointment, make sure to arrive 30 minutes at the clinic beforehand
On the day of the appointment, head to the clinic and check in at the registration counter using MySejahtera.
In Alena's case, she paid only RM1 for registration, got her blood pressure checked, and was given a queue number to wait for her turn.
4. You will be treated by the dentist on duty
Alena said she only had to wait about 15 minutes for her number to be called.
Inside the dental room, she told the dentist that she was interested in doing a general check-up and scaling, to which the dentist agreed was needed and proceeded with the treatment.
"Dr Liyana and her assistant were very nice and assuring during the whole process and voilà, it was done in 10 minutes," said the satisfied patient.
Alena said the whole process only took her about 30 minutes, from registering to walking out of the dental room
She acknowledged that there were not many people at the clinic that day, so she was lucky that she did not have to wait long, despite the appointment.
The student added that she had to pay an additional RM2 for the scaling procedure, and that all her payments were made through debit card.
"I'm sharing [my experience] so that more people will know about this MySejahtera feature and it definitely makes life easier," she said.
As a disclaimer, Alena added that if a person cannot find their nearest clinic in the app or is experiencing tooth pain, they should call their clinics to inquire about immediate walk-in availability.
