Japan's World-Renowned Light Exhibition Is Coming To KL This August & Entrance Is Free!

teamLab is a famous international art collective known for their unique exhibitions that incorporate art, science, technology, and nature
Some of their well-known exhibitions have been held at the teamLab Planets TOKYO museum, Japan; ArtScience Museum, Singapore; and Grand Central Terminal, New York.
Visitors have said that walking into each exhibition feels like stepping into fantasy land.
What's more exciting is that this fantasy land is coming to Kuala Lumpur soon!
The exhibition will be held at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) and will revolve around the theme of 'Resonating Microcosm - Liquified Light Color, Sunrise, and Sunset'.
It will feature numerous egg-shaped objects known as ovoids, scattered all over the rooftop garden of the mall.
This means that you can visit the exhibition not only at night but also during the day!
Experimenting with the concept of colour, teamLab created the ovoids with the ability to change to 57 newly-defined Liquified Light Colours
The ovoids respond to light and touch, and will emit sounds.
You can touch the ovoids and they will glow brightly, giving off a sound while rising back up on their own. They will respond the same way whenever they are exposed to the wind and rain.
The ovoids respond to each other too! They emit sounds of the same tone and display similar light colours to each other.
It is as if they are alive and interacting!
The exhibition will be open from 4 August to 30 November 2022 and entrance is free!
