LEGO DREAMZzz is LEGO's latest offering to the world with an epic new animated series and product range

The animated series follows the adventures of school friends, Mateo, Izzie, Cooper, Logan, and Zoey, as they join a secret agency and learn to use the power of imagination. Together, they journey to the Dream World to defeat the tyrannical Nightmare King!

The first season is available on Netflix, and my kids binged it in a week. 10/10 recommended by my kiddos.

We got our hands on some of the new LEGO DREAMZzz sets. Immediately, our favourite thing about them is that they allow you to create multiple builds in one set!

'Mrs Castillo's Turtle Van' has two different ways to build. You can choose between party mode, which is a turtle van, or the flying submarine mode.

The instructions read like a 'choose your own adventure' book, allowing you to decide how your build will turn out!

My son opted for the turtle van because he said it was "cuter".

In party mode, the turtle van can be accessorised with a moving tree, a spinning cactus, and an opening treasure chest. In flying submarine mode, the turtle van can be accessorised with a rocket and a moving periscope.

Below you can see a close-up of the treasure chest, which opens to reveal goodies within!

There's so much thought and care that LEGO puts into their builds. From the tiny details on a "blackboard" that's inside the van, to the way the roof is constructed, allowing you to easily remove it to play inside, it's such an impressive and fun set to create.

We especially loved how there was so much space given for us to use our creativity. From the story-led instructions book, to the way we chose to accessorise the van!

The set includes Mrs Castillo, Mateo, and Zoey. All of them can be seated inside the van.

'Mateo and Z-Blob the Robot' is a fun little build. The best part is that at the end, you get a fully functional action figure to chase and fight the nightmare monsters >.<

Taken from a scene in the LEGO DREAMZzz animated show, this set transforms the usually tiny and cute Z-Blob into a sleek robot to help Mateo rescue Jayden, who's been kidnapped by a nightmare monster.

The large Z-Blob robot has a fully articulated torso, arms, and legs, making it easy to get him to pose and move smoothly. When it comes to choosing your adventure, the options include a hand blaster, a shoulder-mounted blaster and target for shooting practice, or a jetpack and helmet.

Once again, the set is so detailed. From the features on Mateo and Jayden's faces, to the nightmare monster and bed. My son was particularly excited to see Mateo's pencil staff IRL.

We saved the best for last with the 'Nightmare Shark Ship' — a lethal monster that's bursting with cool features

I apologise in advance because the photos I took really don't do it justice.

This mega build creates a final vehicle. Again, you get two ways to build it, either ship mode or tank mode. We opted for ship mode.

In ship mode, you get powerful engines and sails, while tank mode has cool accessories and flying eyeballs.

The shark's jaw can be opened and shut, and LEGO claims it has enough space to place a minifigure inside (but why would you wanna do that?? T.T)

Meanwhile, you can remove the full rear cabin, pull out the creepy telur mata eyeball, and open up the cabin. Inside, you'll find intricate details of the build, as well as Izzie's blue bunny plushie who was kidnapped!

Removing the entire rear cabin, completely intact.

Remove the geli-looking eyeball.

Open up the cabin to reveal the kidnapped bunny! Peep Mateo's hourglass on the left.

When the rear cabin is removed, back on the main ship, you'll find a secret treasure chest. By pressing a tiny LEGO button, the treasure chest pops up, and can be opened to reveal precious gold bars!

You are guaranteed hours and hours of fun with this one. Not only is the build exciting, as you journey through the instructions manual like a story book, but the end result is so much fun to play with.

I'm always blown away by the level of details put into LEGO builds. This may be my favourite of all time.

There are a total of five LEGO DREAMZzz sets to collect and create

With fantastical creatures, imaginative vehicles, and figurines that are 100% true to the show, it's an absolute blast to build.

LEGO have outdone themselves by handing the power of imagination back to children, allowing them to create and accessorise to their heart's content.
