Before we dive into this list, have you ever wondered why Malaysia drives on the left side of the road in the first place?
Malaysia inherited its left-hand traffic system from British colonial administration.
The practice remained after independence because changing road direction would require massive adjustments to infrastructure, road signs, public transport systems, and driver behaviour.
You might be used to driving on the left side, but the truth is, the left-hand traffic system is considered a minority globally, with only about 55 countries adopting it.
This is compared to the right-hand traffic system with more than 150 countries using it, including the US, Canada, Russia, and most of Europe and China.
