If you've ever had dry or sensitive skin, you'll know it's more than just an itchy patch or a little redness 🙁
It can mess with your sleep, ruin your mood, and sometimes even make you feel self-conscious about leaving the house. Plus, with our hot-cold-rainy weather, finding skincare that's safe to use and actually works is a real struggle.
Instead of following beauty trends, local brand REMDII was birthed from a mother's love

Professor Dr Lai Oi Ming, a researcher in lipid technology, wanted to help her son who had really dry, sensitive skin. She had tried so many creams, hoping to find one that would truly soothe and support him, but nothing seemed to bring lasting relief.
So, she turned to her research. She found that tocotrienol, a powerful antioxidant from red palm oil that's 60 times stronger than normal vitamin E could calm redness and soothe skin.
This culminated in REMDII's two signature products — REMDII Sensitive Daily Intensive Moisturising Cream and REMDII Ultra Sensitive Daily Advance Intensive Barrier Repair Cream.

For many, REMDII has become more than just a cream, it's a source of comfort when dealing with sensitive skin
One parent, Roslina Anang, shared the positive impact on her child's skin.
"After my child used this cream, his skin appeared calmer and more comfortable. The appearance of redness also seemed to be reduced. I saw a lot of change around the ears too. They no longer looked dry, and my child scratched less," she said.
Other parents have had similar experiences too. Joyce Lowsinyee, who first tried the cream on her two-year-old, said it worked better than anything she had used before.
"After trying out so many products for dry skin, this is working more effectively than other creams! Now I'm even using their skincare on myself. So far so good. Continuing to repurchase!"
For another customer, REMDII became their "go-to solution" whenever itchiness flared up.
Beyond creating products that work for sensitive skin, REMDII has also extended its care into the community
Together with Professor Dr Lai Oi Ming, Leow Min Min, and Tan Peh Fen, the team started the Malaysia Eczema Support Community (MESC) back in 2018. What began as a small effort has now grown into a group of over 76,000 members — bringing families, medical experts, and researchers together in one supportive space.
Here, parents can share their stories, pick up evidence-based tips, and most importantly, feel understood. With guidance from multidisciplinary advisors, MESC has become a place where families no longer feel like they're facing sensitive skin on their own.
To help kickstart the conversation on skin sensitivity, REMDII introduced Ezemy, a creative platform that gives sensitive skin 'a face'

Each 'face' represents what people with sensitive skin actually go through, both physically and emotionally:
- Itky : A pink Ezemy that lets out dust clouds when scratched
- Cryki: Always sad, leaving sticky puddles wherever it walks
- Angrie: A fiery little box on wheels that spreads flames when upset
- Dryette: Makes everything it touches dry like sand
- Monsty: Looks scary, but doesn't hurt anyone
- Depressie: A yellowish Ezemy that makes others feel down
- Unwantie: Adorable, but often bullied and left out
These characters make it easier, especially for kids and families to express what living with sensitive skin really feels like.
The best part? An upcoming animation series will bring these characters to life, making sensitive skin stories easier to relate to for everyone.
